This past weekend, D&Y hosted its Second Annual Brainstorming Session. This event was an opportunity for partners, associates and office staff of D&Y to discuss, develop and implement strategies to help better serve our current and prospective clients.
The remainder of the day was a day full of food, fun and friends (including many beloved dogs). We all gathered for a delicious dinner of grilled steak and lobster with roasted vegetables.
With the Fourth of July weekend fast approaching, we thought it would be appropriate to share this succulent lobster recipe (courtesy of Mr. Young and Ms. Chic) as well as an easy citrus champagne cocktail (courtesy of Ms. Williams). This recipe is easily adaptable to your taste; so don’t be afraid to mix it up. Enjoy!
Grilled Lobster
Ingredients (serves approximately 11 people)
8 large Maine lobster tails (frozen (thawed) or fresh)
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
Two lemons (one juiced, one sliced thin)
Splash of white wine
4 Sticks of Butter
Aluminum Foil
Instructions
- Begin making the basting sauce by melting the Butter, Garlic, Lemon Juice, and White Wine together in a saucepan on low heat, until butter sauce is completely liquefied. Keep on low heat for basting
- Using kitchen shears, carefully cut the lobster tail from its shell while keeping the shell intact.
- Place lobster tail back in its shell and on top of foil.
- Liberally baste each lobster tail with the liquefied butter sauce and carefully wrap up the lobster tails up in foil.
- Place two slices of lemon on top of each piece of lobster
- Grill the lobster tails at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for a total of 8 minutes (4 minutes on each side, or until meat is no longer translucent)
- Remove the lobsters from the grill and serve with or without the shell.
- Serve alongside oven-roasted potatoes and vegetables.

1 ounce of Brandy
Crushed ice
Brut Champagne

Have a safe and wonderful Fourth of July!
