The Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association (SCVBA) elected partner Taylor F. Williams as President last month. On Thursday, November 14th at The Oaks Club in Valencia, the association will hold their Annual Awards & Installation Gala to welcome their incoming president, executive board and celebrate their 15th anniversary.
More than 100 local attorneys are members of the SCVBA, most of whom are Santa Clarita residents. Because the association values its partnership with the community, its code of conduct requires all members to maintain a high standard of professionalism, effective legal advocacy, and client-centered representation.
Once she takes over for the current president, Claudia McDowell, Ms. Williams will be one of 8 Executive Board Members. The board’s purpose is to improve the association’s programs and services, enhance connections within the community, and provide members with valuable networking and professional development opportunities.
Ms. Williams became a partner at our firm in September of 2012 after earning her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2011 and being admitted to the California Bar. Her main areas of practice include civil litigation, estate planning, probate, business transactions, bankruptcy filings, and landlord/tenant disputes.
In addition to the SCVBA, Ms. Williams is an active member of:
- The American Bar Association
- The Los Angeles County Bar Association
- The San Fernando Valley Bar Association (on the Board of Trustees as the SCVBA Representative)
Beyond her extensive involvement and membership in various legal organizations, Ms. Williams does everything she can to connect with her community on a regular basis. Currently, she volunteers with the nonprofit organization, Reading to Kids, as well as the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter.
