Our entire legal team at Young & Williams LLP would like to congratulate Attorney Taylor F. Williams-Moniz for being selected to the 2022 Southern California Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers as a top real estate and trust litigation attorney in Valencia, CA. This is the first time she has been recognized for this prestigious honor.
Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters organization, is a rating service of the best attorneys in every state from more than 70 practice areas. These lawyers have achieved many triumphs over their professional careers and are recognized for their accomplishments by their peers.
Only 2.5 percent of attorneys are named in the Rising Stars list every year. To be eligible, candidates must be 40 years old or younger, or have been in practice 10 years or less.
The following is a breakdown of the Super Lawyers selection process:
- Nominations – Lawyers are formally nominated by attorneys from other firms and even their own firm. In addition, Super Lawyers’ attorney-led research team, readers, clients, marketing directors, and lawyers who are not eligible to formally nominate also select nominees.
- Independent research – The research department assesses each candidate based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement: experience, verdicts/settlements, honors/awards, representative clients, transactions, special licenses/certifications, bar and/or professional activity, position within the law firm, scholarly lectures/writings, pro bono and community service, educational/employment background, and other outstanding accomplishments.
- Peer evaluation by practice area – Candidates with the highest point totals from the first and second step serve on the Blue Ribbon Panel and tasked to evaluate other candidates within their main practice area.
- Final selection – Candidates with the highest point totals from each category are chosen. Only 5 percent of lawyers are named in the Super Lawyers list, while 2.5 percent are selected to the Rising Stars list.
